克林德碑　清
1901年

原石頭牌坊上有漢文、德文、拉丁文三種語言的文字。

德國使臣男爵克林德駐華以來，辦理交涉，朕甚倚任。遇光緒二十六年五月拳匪作亂，該使臣於是月二十四日遇害，朕甚悼焉。特於死事地方，敕建石坊，以彰令名。並表朕旌善惡惡之意。凡我臣民，其各懲前毖後，無忘朕命。

Dieses Denkmal ist auf Befehl Seiner Majestät des Kaisers von China errichtet worden für den Kaiserlich Deutschen Minister, den Freiherrn von Ketteler, welcher an dieser Stelle durch ruchlosen Mord am 20. Juni 1900 gefallen ist, zu immerwährendem Gedächtnis seines Namens, als ewiges Zeichen des kaiserlichen Zornes über diese Tat, als Warnung für jedermann.

Hoc monumentum ex mandato Imperatoris Sinarum erectum est Clementi Baroni de Ketteler, Legato Germaniae Imperiali, qui in hoc loco die XX mensis Iunii anni MCM scelere nefando cecidit. In perennem nominis eius memoriam, in aeternum irae Imperialis de hoc facinore indicium, et in omnium monitum.

This monument has been erected by order of His Majesty the Emperor of China for the Imperial German Minister Baron von Ketteler, who fell on this spot by heinous murder on the 20th of June, 1900, in everlasting commemoration of his name, as an eternal token of the Emperor's wrath about this crime, as a warning to all.
