楊恩湛　字仲達。年三十九歲。生於江蘇武進。兄伯屛。本籍住址。江蘇武進西獅子巷。家中住址。上海西門外小菜塲德華里二十號。已婚。初畢業於湖北自强學堂。任該校敎員。及湖北洋務譯書局繙譯。光緖二十九年。以官費遊美。入伊色喀高等學校。光緖三十一年。入廓爾該大學。光緖三十三年。入本薛文尼大學。習社會經濟學。宣統二年。得學士學位。被選入某名譽學會。爲留美學生月報編輯。宣統二年。囘國。任湖北優級師範學堂堂長。及兩湖總督署英文文案。譯編美國平民政治及學校管理法二書。民國二年。任交通部鐵路會計統一會繙譯。總統府譯員。民國四年。任淸華學校敎員兼繙譯。現時通信處。北京淸華學校。

Translator, Hupeh Translation Department, 1902-3. Arrived in America, March, 1903. Government support. Prepared for college at Ithaca High School, 1903-5. Studied Liberal Arts at Colgate University, 1905-7; Economics at the University of Pennsylvania, 1907-10. B.S., 1910. Elected to Beta Theta Pi, 1906. Editor and Manager, Chinese Students' Monthly, 1905-7. Returned to China, August, 1910. President, Government Teachers' College, Wuchang, and English Secretary to the Viceroy of Hupeh, 1910-11. Translator: Commission on the Unification of Railway Accounts and Statistics in the Ministry of Communications; the President's Office, 1913-14. Teacher and Translator, Tsing Hua College, 1915 to date. Translated Bryce's "American Commonwealth" and Chancellor's "School Administration".
