Usage[编辑]

This is a template to be used at the top of every Portal: namespace page, to provide navigational links and to describe the scope of that portal. This template has got two variants:

  • {{national}} for nation-related portals
  • {{person}} for person-related portals

Basic usage:

{{portal header
 | title =
 | class =
 | subclass1 =
 | reviewed =
 | shortcut =
 | notes =
}}

Full usage:

As portals may be linked from Wikidata, use of that process would generally be preferred, if appropriate, rather than use of parameters.

{{portal header
 | title =
 | parent =
 | class =
 | subclass1 =
 | subclass2 =
 | number =
 | midclass =
 | reviewed =
 | forcecat =
 | sortkey =
 | portal =
 | related_author =
 | wikipedia =
 | commons =
 | commonscat =
 | wikiquote =
 | wikinews =
 | wiktionary =
 | wikibooks =
 | wikiversity =
 | wikispecies =
 | wikivoyage =
 | wikidata =
 | meta =
 | shortcut =
 | notes =
}}

Parameters[编辑]

  • Normal parameters
    • {{{title}}}: Portal title.
    • {{{parent}}}: Parent portal (if applicable). This overrides the default portal links in the title bar. Categorises into the hidden category Category:Portals linking to a parent
    • {{{class}}}: The classification letter of the portal (see Portal:Index)
    • {{{subclass1}}}: The first subclass letter of the portal (if applicable)
    • {{{subclass2}}}: The second subclass letter of the portal (if applicable)
    • {{{number}}}: The classification number of the portal (if applicable). Not yet in use.
    • {{{midclass}}}: Forces the display of both subclasses if both subclass1 and subclass2 are defined.
    • {{{shortcut}}}: Shortcut to the portal.
    • {{{reviewed}}}: Set to yes when the portal's classification has been reviewed, see also {{Portal review}}.
    • {{{notes}}}: Notes regarding the portal.
  • Overrides (for exceptions)
    • {{{forcecat}}}: By default this template categorises the portal into Category:Portals, if the header is used on a basepage (not a subpage) of the Portal namespace. Use "n" or "no" to prevent this categorisation; use "forced" to force the categorisation regardless of the basepage/namespace.
    • {{{sortkey}}}: Sortkey for automatic categorisation.
  • Internal links (optional - use whichever are appropriate)
    • {{{portal}}}: slash-separated list of related portals. Eg World History/Greece
    • {{{related_author}}}: slash-separated list of related authors. Eg William Shakespeare/Francis Bacon
  • Interwiki links (optional - use whichever are appropriate. Consider using linking through Wikidata)
    • {{{wikipedia}}}, {{{commons}}}, {{{commonscat}}}, {{{wikiquote}}}, {{{wikinews}}}, {{{wiktionary}}}, {{{wikibooks}}}, {{{wikiversity}}}, {{{wikispecies}}}, {{{meta}}}, {{{wikivoyage}}}, {{{wikidata}}}
