關於 Template:* 和 Template:annotate

最近一個用戶親切地幫助我們通過使用{{*}}以改善《日本書紀》的風格。但有一個問題：如果複製和粘貼彩色文字，它們不能與其他部分分離。我知道這是根據規範，但如果你可以考慮採用以下格式，我將非常感激：

…號國常立尊。〈〈至貴曰尊，自餘曰命，並訓美擧等也。下皆效此。〉〉…

所以我想建議修改Template:*如下：

出於同樣的原因，Template:annotate也應進行修改。

本人手裏有少許橫排的新印古籍，註釋均是單行夾註，除字號稍小外並無任何符號將其與正文隔開，甚至連顏色都是清一色的黑色。可見註釋不加符號是出版界的慣例，維基文庫沒必要求新。但正如CES1596提到的一樣，複製貼上時註釋和正文無法分開，因此想到了隱藏註釋首尾的括號（現時暫未添加）的方法。然而隱藏的括號應該可以在複製時被選中，以便在轉化成純文本時保留括號。經查找，發現overflow:hidden似乎可以實現該功能，無奈數次嘗試沒有成功，希望有專業人士幫忙。--H₂NCH₂COOH（討論） 2014年12月7日 (日) 03:18 (UTC)

法律名稱太長無法增加新頁面

如題，全國人大常委會剛通過的《全國人民代表大會常務委員會關於授權國務院在中國（廣東）自由貿易試驗區、中國（天津）自由貿易試驗區、中國（福建）自由貿易試驗區以及中國（上海）自由貿易試驗區擴展區域暫時調整有關法律規定的行政審批的決定》因名稱太長，無法添加以此為標題的新頁面。顯示錯誤頁面：「所請求頁面的標題是無效的、不存在，跨語言或跨wiki鏈接的標題錯誤。它可能包含一個或更多的不能用於標題的字符。」請求解決辦法。 --Ewan0707（討論） 2014年12月28日 (日) 19:44 (UTC)

對template:header的修改

我已對template:header做出修改，使得任何{{{section}}}參數不為空（是一個章節）的調用頁面不會再被它加入任何分類，這樣template:header可以一定程度上覆蓋不太完整的template:header2的作用。另外模板頁上的說明還沒有更新。Huhu9001（討論） 2015年1月3日 (六) 04:53 (UTC)

ToJusjih：是這樣，任何一個作品的子章節本來就不應該被加入日期自動分類，只有總篇章才能被加入。您之所以遇到這個問題是因為您誤把不同版本的法律條文當成了一個法律的不同章節是對section參數的誤用，要對此進行說明請使用title，note，from等參數，參見template:header/doc。Huhu9001（討論） 2015年1月13日 (二) 04:45 (UTC)

ToZhxy 519：以水滸傳為例，它的頁面會被加入分類小說中，但是水滸傳必須為每一回單獨開出一個頁面，這些頁面不應該也被加入小說這個分類。具體來說，就是小說這個分類里只應該有「水滸傳」，而不應該是「水滸傳」「水滸傳/000」「水滸傳/001」「水滸傳/002」全部包括進去。因此修改這個模版使得任何{{{section}}}參數不為空（是一個章節）的調用頁面不會再被它加入任何分類，就不會把章節重複加入分類里去了，template:header2也不需要使用了。Huhu9001（討論） 2015年1月14日 (三) 17:30 (UTC)

剛剛看了一下gerrit:136234，裡面提到：

• This won't break the few wikis with ! templates that do something like ... right? 這不會導致將這個冒號模板使用成{{!|...}}的wiki損壞，不是麼？

在下搜尋「日報」之後發現了許多結果，例如工商日報/1951年/5月/29日/韓境昨空戰 蘇式飛機一架被毀，看來維基文庫可以放置舊新聞報導。

1947年，紐約時報有一篇舊報導《FORMOSA KILLINGS ARE PUT AT 10,000》，雖然已是68年前的報導，但現今若想閱讀，仍要付費，付費後即可下載該報導的 PDF 檔案（雖然在網路上搜尋"FORMOSA KILLINGS ARE PUT AT 10,000"也可找到許多能夠閱讀該報導全文的結果，例如這個）。

有一本1965年的英文書籍名為《Formosa Betrayed》，現已放在網路上供人免費閱讀。該書中有一篇文章叫作〈The Heart of the Matter〉，被編排在序言的前面（請參考該書的目錄），而這篇文章的內容則又是節錄自《United States Relations With China》（《中美關係白皮書》）第309頁。

Stewards confirmation rules

Hello, I made a proposal on Meta to change the rules for the steward confirmations. Currently consensus to remove is required for a steward to lose his status, however I think it's fairer to the community if every steward needed the consensus to keep. Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC) Ombud
The FDC Ombud receives complaints and feedback about the FDC process, investigates complaints at the request of the Board of Trustees, and summarizes the investigations and feedback for the Board of Trustees on an annual basis. One position is being filled. More information about this role can be found at the FDC Ombudsperson elections page.

The candidacy submission phase lasts from 00:00 UTC April 20 to 23:59 UTC May 5 for the Board and from 00:00 UTCApril 20 to 23:59 UTC April 30 for the FDC and FDC Ombudsperson. Pywikibot compat will no longer be supported - Please migrate to pywikibot core

Sorry for English, I hope someone translates this.
Pywikibot (then "Pywikipediabot") was started back in 2002. In 2007 a new branch (formerly known as "rewrite", now called "core") was started from scratch using the MediaWiki API. The developers of Pywikibot have decided to stop supporting the compat version of Pywikibot due to bad performance and architectural errors that make it hard to update, compared to core. If you are using pywikibot compat it is likely your code will break due to upcoming MediaWiki API changes (e.g. T101524). It is highly recommended you migrate to the core framework. There is a migration guide, and please contact us if you have any problem.

There is an upcoming MediaWiki API breaking change that compat will not be updated for. If your bot's name is in this list, your bot will most likely break.

The thumbnail of this gif is of really bad quality.

How a PNG thumb of this GIF would look like

There is a proposal at the Commons Village Pump requesting feedback about the thumbnails of static GIF images: It states that static GIF files should have their thumbnails created in PNG. The advantages of PNG over GIF would be visible especially with GIF images using an alpha channel. (compare the thumbnails on the side)

關於標點的問題

眾所周知漢文的古籍是沒有標點符號的。所有的短句和引用部分，嘗嘗用空格、字符的大小和句號來分開。因此我認為除了有特殊需要的文章（例如章節較長，難以理解，字音區分等等），所有的符號都應該被句號和換行符替代。另外在我最近追加的頁面中，我採用了換行符。以上。--Asmend（討論） 2015年10月7日 (三) 17:11 (UTC)

關於中國大陸標準的頁面名稱

目前這一系列的頁面名似乎都是標準號+文字，如GB 15093-2008 國徽。但察國家標準化委員會網站的用法（如[2]），其做法似乎是标准号《文字》，也就是說標準號並不是標題的一部分。是否應當把頁面標題改為「國徽」，而標準號只是附屬編號？ --達師 - 318 - 527 2015年11月7日 (六) 08:47 (UTC)

Hello! Wikimania 2016 scholarships will soon be open; by the end of the week we'll form the committee and we need your help, see Scholarship committee for details.

If you want to carefully review nearly a thousand applications in January, you might be a perfect committee member. Otherwise, you can volunteer as "ambassador": you will observe all the committee activities, ensure that people from your language or project manage to apply for a scholarship, translate scholarship applications written in your language to English and so on. Ambassadors are allowed to ask for a scholarship, unlike committee members.

As some of your might be aware, a small group of Wikimedia volunteers have proposed a banner campaign informing Wikipedia readers about the urgent situation of our fellow Wikipedian, open source software developer and Creative Commons activist, Bassel Khartabil. An exemplary banner and an explanatory page have now been prepared, and translated into about half a dozen languages by volunteer translators.

We are seeking your involvement to decide if the global Wikimedia community approves starting a banner campaign asking Wikipedia readers to call on the Syrian government to release Bassel from prison. We understand that a campaign like this would be unprecedented in Wikipedia's history, which is why we're seeking the widest possible consensus among the community.

Given Bassel's urgent situation and the resulting tight schedule, we ask everyone to get involved with the poll and the discussion to the widest possible extent, and to promote it among your communities as soon as possible.

As many of you know, January 15 is Wikipedia’s 15th Birthday!

People around the world are getting involved in the celebration and have started adding their events on Meta Page. While we are celebrating Wikipedia's birthday, we hope that all projects and affiliates will be able to utilize this celebration to raise awareness of our community's efforts.

Haven’t started planning? Don’t worry, there’s lots of ways to get involved. Here are some ideas:

• Join/host an event. We already have more than 80, and hope to have many more.
• Talk to local press. In the past 15 years, Wikipedia has accomplished extraordinary things. We’ve made a handy summary of milestones and encourage you to add your own. More resources, including a press release template and resources on working with the media, are also available.
• Design a Wikipedia 15 logo. In place of a single icon for Wikipedia 15, we’re making dozens. Add your own with something fun and representative of your community. Just use the visual guide so they share a common sensibility.
• Share a message on social media. Tell the world what Wikipedia means to you, and add #wikipedia15 to the post. We might re-tweet or share your message!

Everything is linked on the Wikipedia 15 Meta page. You’ll find a set of ten data visualization works that you can show at your events, and a list of all the Wikipedia 15 logos that community members have already designed.

A new "Welcome" message

Hello everyone. Apologies for using English on this page. 請協助翻譯成您使用的語言. 感謝您！

This is a heads-up about a change which was announced in Tech News: Add the "welcome" dialog (with button to switch) to the wikitext editor.

In a nutshell, this will soon provide a one-time "Welcome" message in the wikitext editor which explains that anyone can edit, and every improvement helps. The user can then start editing in the wikitext editor right away, or switch to the visual editor. This is the equivalent of an already existing welcome message for visual editor users, which suggests the option to switch to the wikitext editor. If you have already seen this dialog in the visual editor, you will not see the new one in the wikitext editor. It won't say "Wikipedia" here ;)

• The current site-wide configuration of the visual editor stays the same.
  • Nothing changes permanently for users who chose to hide the visual editor in their Preferences, or for wikis where it's still a Beta Feature, or for wikis where certain groups of users don't get the visual editor tab, etc.
  • This wiki features a Single Edit Tab system; if you're not sure you know or remember how that works, you can read the guide (which details, among other things, how to switch between editors from the buttons on the toolbar); you can change your editing settings at any time, by the way.
  • There is a slight chance that you see a few more questions than usual about the visual editor. Please refer people to the documentation or to the feedback page, and feel free to ping me if you have questions too! I had also written a very quick intro to the visual editor, in case anyone is interested.

• Finally, I want to acknowledge that, while not everyone will see that dialog, many of you will; if you're reading this you are likely not the intended recipients of that dialog, so you may be confused or annoyed by it—and if this is the case, I'm truly sorry about that. Please feel free to cross-post this message at other venues on this wiki, if you think it will avoid that other users feel caught by surprise by this change.
